Analogue – the 80s retro remix information evening

A crowd of potential cast members attended the Analogue information afternoon Friday 17th April to find out more about the show, meet the production team and get more details about how to audition.

Don’t worry if you couldn’t come along as you haven’t missed out on the chance of being in this exciting production.

There will be a pre-audition rehearsal on Sunday afternoon (19th April) from 2-4pm in Blyburgate Hall, Beccles for anyone who would like to be in the cast of Analogue. A music & movement workshop will be held on Friday 24th April.

Completed Application to Audition forms must be returned by Friday 24th April and auditions will be held on Sunday 26th April.

Following the success of their recent production of ‘The Lightning Thief’, Rising Stars is looking for enthusiastic singers, actors, dancers and musicians in school year 3 or above to experience the decade that had love, war, MTV and a soundtrack that changed everything.

Written specially for Rising Stars, ‘Analogue’ will be a lively, imaginative journey through the decade that rewired the planet. It is not just a jukebox musical of songs from the 80s. Instead, each year of the decade will be brought to life with musical numbers, scenes and choreography inspired by real events from that year.

All existing members and anyone considering joining Rising Stars are invited to an Information Evening at 7pm on Friday 17th April in Blyburgate Hall in Beccles, where there will be the opportunity to find out more about the show, meet the production team and get more details about how to audition to be in the show as a singer, dancer or instrumentalist.

Rising Stars is looking for enthusiastic and talented singers, dancers and actors (especially boys!) to take on gods & monsters in this rock-and-roll musical.

Percy Jackson was just a regular kid – until he discovered he’s a demigod! Now he’s on an epic quest to find Zeus’s stolen lightning bolt, clear his name, and stop a war between the gods. Along with his friends Annabeth and Grover, Percy battles monsters, dodges traps, and finds the hero inside himself.

Every hero has to start somewhere… and your journey begins here!

Following the success of their recent production of ‘Arabian Nights’, Rising Stars is looking for enthusiastic singers, actors, dancers and musicians in school year 3 or above to travel through the decades in this juke box musical.

Written specially for Rising Stars, this heart-warming story will have your toes tapping with music, characters and dance styles from the past to the present day whilst showcasing the very best of local, young talent in musical theatre.

Arabian Nights – we have a cast!

We had a large number of young people applying to audition for us and were blown away by the quality of their auditions and the talent they showed us.

This gave us a tough couple of hours deliberating, but we finally have a full cast for Arabian Nights.

Congratulations to all successful candidates, and commiserations those that did not make the cast this time. It’s so sad to have to turn away talented youngsters who have put so much time and effort in auditioning. You all did yourselves proud and we would have included everyone if we could fit you all on stage and in the dressing rooms!

Rehearsals have started already and we had lots of fun at our first script read-through for Arabian Nights.

With tales of treasures, monsters, genies and magic, fabulous music and an amazingly talented cast – we are so excited about this show!

Arabian Nights

To be performed in Beccles Public Hall on the 27th – 29th March 2025

Rising Stars is looking for enthusiastic and talented singers, dancers and actors (especially boys!) to perform in this enchanting musical full of Eastern promise.

Arabian Nights follows the story of Scheherazade as she tries to save her own life by telling 1001 stories to the heartless king. Upset from his failed first marriage, King Shahryar marries a new woman each day and then kills her the next morning! To try and stop this, Scheherazade offers to marry the King – against the wishes of her family – but delays her execution by captivating him with familiar stories such as Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves and Sinbad the Sailor.

All existing members and anyone wishing to join Rising Stars are invited to an Information Evening at 7pm on Friday 13th September in Blyburgate Hall, Beccles, where there will be the opportunity to find out more about the show, meet the production team and get more details about how to audition to be in the cast or for a principal role.

To become an Arabian Nights cast member, you will need to:

Written specially for Rising Stars, this new cabaret-style show features a selection of our favourite music, songs, dances and colourful characters from previous productions – but with a new twist! Energetic, uplifting and upbeat, this production will look back on the past and look forward to the future.
